Not everyone realizes this, but being a travel consultant requires a ton of initial training and an enormous amount of continual education. I recently returned from Florida after a week of training and education. My days were full of learning how to streamline the booking and travel process for our guests, meeting with Business Development Managers to learn more about our suppliers, getting the inside scoop on resorts and deals, and connecting with other business owners in the travel industry.
There were several days of learning how to efficiently use our company’s operating systems and applications.
Then a few more days hearing from suppliers regarding what they have to offer and what we, in turn, can offer our guests.
Many of the Business Development Managers inspired us.
And some made us want to travel ourselves!
We were also able to tour our Host Agency’s office and headquarters. It was fun to see all the walls and shelves full of travel awards and accomplishments as well as meet the president, co-owners, and sales managers.
I’m so thankful for all the opportunities we have in our company to learn, train, and grow. We are continually striving to give our guests the best service and vacations we possibly can!
